According to Daily Variety, the premiere of Game Over, despite have little or no competition from chief rival the WB (which aired a recast of Smallville), debuted to a mere 2 million viewers. Even more dismal was the second half of the hour, with the resurrected Mullets delivering 1.7 million viewers. Scott Bakula and Jolene Blaylock are pretty sure UPN is getting ready to screw them over, too. According to Zap2it, Enterprise will begin airing in Jake 2.0's Wednesday 9/8c timeslot, beginning in March. Taking over Enterprises's timeslot opposite WB ratings powerhouse Smallville is The Mullets, which was placed on hiatus back in November. According to Zap2it, "The schedule shuffle also appears to bury freshman sci-fi series 'Jake 2.0' a little deeper. It was pulled for the 'Top Model' repeats earlier this month, and production recently shut down. Of course, 'The Mullets' was in a similar situation last fall, and look what happened."

Christopher Gorham attempts to explain to Keegan Connor Tracy how reality programming is a sign of the apocalypse. Jake 2.0 producer David Greenwalt told Zap2it that UPN had reduced the full season order from 22 episodes to 19 prior to halting production. "To say we're on hiatus is about the same as saying that O.J. and Nicole Simpson are having a trial separation. When you've got a show like America's Next Top Model that costs a tenth of what Jake does, and scores better with a rerun, we're f***ed." For more check out the full article.
Judith Scott, reading to kick some Viacom executive ass? Rumours abound regarding a planned DVD box set. According to one source, "plans are in the works for the entire series to be released on DVD. Look for an announcement later this year." Whether this would mean the final four episodes (Blackout, Get Foley, Dead Man Talking and Upgrade) will not air in the United States in order to be included as a selling point on the DVD set (a la Firefly) remains to be seen.

"After all, Jake 2.0 was signed to complete this season's run of episodes." For more, check out the full article.
Christopher Gorham, under the gun At the Television Critics Association Sunday, UPN representatives announced that Jake 2.0 is on hiatus and will be axed barring a significant improvement in the ratings. While not the best news, it is still more enouraging than Friday's reports of outright cancellation.
