Author's note: Due to the almost complete lack of P/T (I say almost because the present counts) in "Random Thoughts", I decided to write this. Paramount holds all claim to Voyager and her crew. The only thing I own is the story. This is my first story---be gentle with the criticism. "Random Thoughts" epilogue by Megan Everett After she and Tuvok had parted ways, B'Elanna continued on to her quarters. She wanted nothing more than to sleep until tomorrow. It had been an exhausting four days. Once inside, she flopped on her bed and closed her eyes. But when she tried to sleep, her terror came back full force. She was saved by the door chime. Heaving a sigh, she sat up. "Come in." The doors opened, admitting Tom. When he saw her, relief filled his eyes. He moved to her side, taking her in his arms, burying his lips in her hair. "I was so afraid," he whispered. "I was, too," she admitted. He tilted her chin up to look into her eyes. His eyes searched her face, taking in every detail before bending his head down to kiss her. The kiss began gentle and sweet, but soon grew passionate. After several minutes, they slowly, reluctantly, broke apart. "I love you," he said softly. "I never want to lose you." "Don't ever leave me," she whispered. "Never," he vowed. "Never." Pulling her closer, he gently lowered her onto her bed. ** (The next morning) Janeway entered her ready room. Already on her desk was a small stack of data padds awaiting her. Picking up the stack, she headed to her chair. Taking it, she began to glance through the stack. "Duty roster, Tuvok's report, Stellar Cartography report---what's this?" She pulled one padd out of the stack. "Request for new quarters?" She scrolled down to the bottom. A light dawned in her eyes, and then a smile lit up her face. "Nothing would make me happier," she said aloud to the empty room. Her smile brightened. "Consider it done." She set it down and continued through the others. Janeway hadn't been surprised by the contents, and neither would anyone else have been. Because at the bottom of the message, after the request, was Tom's signature, B'Elanna's beneath it. Legal disclaimers apply. Paramount owns Voyager and co., I own the story.
