This is my first story, any messages would be welcomed at stormsummer@hotmail.comParamount owns everything. It's rated PG "I'm sorry Tom, I didn't get your letter." Why did she tell him that? She did get the letter and she still had it, always would. She couldn't give him that letter not if his father meant that much to him. She still remembered the words "Tom, Tom your a failure, I wish you were dead, then I could forget the one and only failure to the Paris name. If you ever do get back from Alpha quadrant while I'm still living, don't you dare come visit me. I've been happy since you disappeared and now that your still alive I wish I had keep you in line you were too weak and soft too bad failures never change Owen." That was it the hole letter, telling Tom about how he failed his father, that's it, no mention about how well he did when he broke the warp 10 barrier, nothing about being a LT. On Voyager, nothing about how he saved the crew more than once, nothing about all the good things he did. She couldn't let him see that letter ever only when he totally didn't care about his father. B'Ellana reread the letter again, she knew that she shouldn't in the mess hall, even though no one was there and it was after hours, yet she still couldn't believe that Tom's own father would do that to his only son. Absorbed in her reading she didn't hear Tom come up behind her and read over her shoulder. "B'Ellana what's this?" He asked slowly "Tom, hi, it's nothing." She answered quickly. "Nothing ," he said grabbing the letter "Nothing, then why dose it seem to be a letter to me, from my father?" He said angerly. "Tom, I didn't, I didn't, want to hurt you." She said slowly. " Of course not, No one ever dose." He said sarcastely "Tom, don't." " Let's see here, he's talked how much I mean to his and failed him, wait nothing else." "Tom stop it, he doesn't matter, we're what matter's now he's 70 000 light years away." "I know," he said softly "but it'll never changed with him." "Tom, it's ok, it's his loss, your the best damn piolet anyone could have and it doesn't matter what he thinks." "Your right, it doesn't matter." He stood up and with B'Elanna's left ignoring the pad on the table and walked out of the mess hall. THE END==================================================== Thanks, Summer
