I didn't care for the role I got in your pirate program," B'Elanna countered."Trust me. I wouldn't put myself in danger," Tom told her, "Will you at least look at the part?""Oh alright. But I'm not making any promises," B'Elanna said as she took the padd from Tom."Great! Thanks," Tom said as he kissed her cheek, "I'll see you later?""Dinner, my quarters, 1900 hours.""I'll be there." With that Tom exited the messhall to make his way to the bridge for his duty shift. B'Elanna picked up his plate and stacked it on top of hers. She then carried the two plates to the recyclomat."Thanks for breakfast Neelix," she said to the man scurrying behind the counter, preparing an assortment of dishes."You're welcome B'Elanna," Neelix said.Having finished her business in the messhall B'Elanna headed out the door and towards a turbolift. Her final destinantion: main engineering. ________________________________________________________________"Carey I've finished here," B'Elanna informed Joe Carey as she replaced the Mees panel, "I'll be in my office, taking a coffee break, if you need me." "Finding out exactly what Tom wants me to portray in this Captain Proton program," she added in her mind."Coffee, one cream, one sugar," B'Elanna ordered to the replicator. Within seconds a metal mug of steaming coffee appeared. B'Elanna took a sip as she settled into her chair. "The Power of a Moment," B'Elanna read the title aloud," Hmmm. Sounds interesting enough."Captain Proton approaches the....."Lieutenant a console just exploded!" Carey called, interupting B'Elanna's reading."Alright. I'm coming," B'Elanna said as she reluctantly put the padd down onto her desk. _________________________________________________________________"Thanks Dell," B'Elanna told the crewman as he handed her a datapadd.B'Elanna scanned down the information, looking for anything she didn't want to leave Carey to do. Finding nothing B'Elanna gathered all of her padds, including the one containing Tom's program. "Okay Carey I'm off," she called, "Call if you need anything. Otherwise I'll see you tomorrow."Carey nodded, acknowledging what B'Elanna had just told him. From the doors of main engineering B'Elanna headed straight for the turbolift. She had come off her shift late and she had two hours to get ready for her dinner with Tom and read through the program. Arriving at her quarters B'Elanna decided to take a hot, water shower. As the water cascaded over her B'Elanna relaxed, letting the worries of the day wash away. After fifteen minutes in the shower B'Elanna got out, dried off, and she put her navy, terrycloth bathrobe on. She then wandered into her living room and settled on the couch to do some reading.Captain Proton approached the doorway. He cautiously sticks his weapon around the door frame. The weapon is followed by Captain Proton himself. There in the middle of the room, on the top level of a terrace, with her back to him, sat his greatest nemesis: Evella. Each of the villians he had defeated up until that point had pointed to a central villian and now Captain Proton had found her.Slowly the chair began to swivel. After completing a 180 degree turn Captain Proton found himself facing Evella. She was clad in a black jumpsuit and black, leather boots, coming halway up her shins. The low illumination of the room provided a shine on her dark hair and added to the mysterious, foreboding look on her face."Captain Proton. At last we meet." Her voice was alluring. Evella arose from her chair and stepped down onto the first step that would take her off her terrace.B'Elanna skimmed throught the rest of program, already hooked on the villianess Evella, before she set the padd down onto her coffee table. Having completed the first task of the evening B'Elanna went into her room to get dressed for her date with Tom. _______________________________________________________________"Wow! B'Elanna you look sensational," Tom said as she let him into her quarters."So are you saying that because you want me to be in your program or because I really do look good?" B'Elanna inquired."Both actually," Tom replied as they sat down at the table. B'Elanna was wearing an ivory colored dress with spaghetti straps. It fell over her matching heeled sandals."Thank you for the compliment," B'Elanna said as she put a forkful of fettecine alfredo into her mouth."And the program...." Tom prompted."Program.....program?" B'Elanna feigned not knowing what Tom was referring to. Tom looked unamused."You were right. I liked the part of Evella. I'm assuming that's the part you wanted me for," Tom nodded, "So who's going to play the role of the secretary?""Seven is playing Constance Goodheart. That is if I can get her to do more than just pull wires," Tom told B'Elanna.B'Elanna gave him an inquisitive look. "Don't ask. It's a long story."The couple finished their dinner chatting about the days events. When B'Elanna put her fork down Tom gathered up their plates and put them in the recyclomat. "Come Madam Evella. I've reserved some time on the holodeck. What do you say to an evening of dancing?" Tom queired while extending a hand to B'Elanna. She took the proffered hand only to find herself in Tom's arms, looking up into his laughing eyes."I say lead the way Captain."The EndPlease feel free to send any feedback on this story to me at kesevna@hotmail.com
